- You are pregnant or nursing
- You have multiple sexual partners or change partners often
- You are under 12 years of age
- You have fever, chills, nausea, or vomiting
- You have a foul-smelling discharge
- You feel abdominal pain
- You have had an allergic reaction to other VYI medications
- There is no improvement in your symptoms within three days, or they have not disappeared within seven days
